1,000,000,000,000 bytes for $75

I’ve just passed the dawn of my 28th year, and like the song says, I may be getting old, but I’m not old yet. Still, I’m starting to wonder if I’ve passed some magic age barrier that separates the people who are on top of technology from the people who aren’t. Does anyone else think it’s awesome — I mean, ridiculously awesome — that you can get a 1-terabyte Samsung hard drive from Newegg for $75? And with free shipping to boot? If you were to open up a dictionary and look up “wicked awesome,” I do believe that’s what you’d find there. And this guy.

If in my next post I’m complaining that I can’t get my VCR to work, please get me help. Oh, and it makes the wistful nostalgic in me happy that the guitarist in the David Myles video on the right is wearing an Expos cap.

I began to wonder whether I was getting too old for technology as well when bluetooth came out. I had no idea what it was for the longest time.
But at least I don’t go around saying “we need to do it in the facebook with the twittering”!

That sounds so naughty, doesn’t it?

Y’know, there are people in the music building who don’t know how to use vinyl… Have you ever had to explain a record to someone? Man. Oh man. I get the feeling one day I’ll have to explain pens to people.

Oh, and the other day, I had to explain to someone what I meant by “by post”!

Mark, it really does sound naughty. And yet it’s so funny!
It takes someone who truly doesn’t know what they’re talking about to come up with a statement that ridiculous.
