neat-o wristwatches for the über-individual

If you’re one of those people who desperately craves individuality, or if you just happen to love the unusual, TokyoFlash makes your watch. The one above — the “Star Performer,” from the company’s “Pimp” line — comes with blue or white LEDs and costs $94.96. Unfortunately, I’m neither cool enough nor geeky enough to pull it off.

Some of their watches are a little over the top, and a few are downright useless unless you’re familiar with some pretty obscure ways of telling time — but if you do snag one you can be pretty sure it’ll be the only one on your block. Shipping from Japan is free on all orders over ¥10,000 (about $100).

I’m pondering the “Tumbler” at right, and might actually spring for it if I can get over the fact that it looks just a little like a bathroom scale.

Update: Yeah, so I caved and bought the watch. And if it looks like a bathroom scale, it’s the coolest damn bathroom scale I’ve ever seen.

that it looks like a bathroom scale is actually one of the main reasons why i like it!
