Though my girlfriend would insist otherwise, I don’t really consider myself much of a geek — I’m geeky enough to take things apart, but not usually geeky enough to know how to put them back together. So I generally have no business watering down the genuinely geeky clientele at Den of Geek with my marginally technologically inclined self, but today they came up with an article that I just couldn’t resist: a round-up of 75 comics set to hit the box office by 2012.
On the list are loads of tried-and-true Marvel and DC characters — including Thor, Wonder Woman, the Avengers and the Flash — along with some lesser known characters like Dr. Strange, one of my all-time favourites. Two new Sin City movies are on the agenda, and even humble Tintin is set for the star treatment, with Spielberg heading up a first effort and Peter Jackson already signed for a sequel.
But there’s also a wealth of lesser-known comic-book movies in the works — everything from the traditional über-corporate nightmare worlds and revenge-driven kung-fu masters to the post-apocalyptic battles of the Hindu god Rama and a neat-sounding “tale of holy cops patrolling the afterlife in the ‘Rest In Peace Department,’” or “R.I.P.D.”
Other plot lines of note include a battle-scarred Confederate officer in America’s Wild West, Gabriel and Michael’s celestial battle with Lucifer, an amnesiac cyborg child, and Noah’s ark — in space…

yeah I heard about the upcoming Tintin a while ago, that’s great! I love Tintin!! I just hope Spielberg doesn’t mess it up like he did with Indiana Jones… I hopeful he won’t. I’m positive Peter Jackson will do great. (I’m not trying to trash Spielberg, it’s just that I was extremely disapointed with Indiana Jones)

Sin City! yay!
and btw, your girlfriend thinks you’re a genius and a devilishly handsome geek, not just a regular one.
