You know the old joke: “What do you get when you cross Vincent Price, Michael Jackson, 1,500 Filipino inmates and a transvestite?”

I think I missed the boat on this one, and some of you have probably already seen this. But sweet mercy it’s fantastic. If you ever go to jail in the Philippines, pray that this is the jail you go to.

They also do Queen and scenes from Sister Act.

The video was uploaded to Youtube by Byron F. Garcia, who runs the jail and actually has some interesting things to say about Filipino penal system. You know, if you’re into that sort of thing. He’s also getting some press from ABC News:

“While the goal is to keep the body fit in order to keep the mind fit, such may not happen if it is done in a manner deemed unpleasurable,” Garcia told Filipino’s Sun Star publication. “Music, being the language of the soul, is added to that regimen.”
