To put things into perspective, the nuclear strikes on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in World War II killed about 220,000 people.
The world continues to criticize the Myanmar government for stalling aid supplies while it stamps its leaders’ names on the crates, and for refusing to allow foreign aid workers to distribute food, medicine and other supplies. The Myanmar government continues to not give a damn. As I write this, French and U.S. aid ships are waiting off the coast of Burma, which refuses to give them permission to dock while hundreds of thousands of its citizens wait desperately for help. France says the ruling military is “on the verge of committing a crime against humanity.”
Sorry for the short post today — I’m in Brooklyn and haven’t got much time to post, but I’ll do what I can for the next couple of days.
