Due to an enormous increase in the number of spam comments, I just can’t spend hours looking for rare real comments scattered among the hundreds of free smileys and “impress your woman” ads that are blocked each day. I don’t think any legitimate posts have been filtered out so far, but if you’re a) having trouble posting, b) not selling anything and c) a genuine human being, send me an e-mail to let me know.
On the bright side, I suppose the ten-fold increase in spam is just an unpleasant side-effect of the big jumps in traffic here. So that’s sort of a good thing. In related news, we’ve jumped again in Alexa’s traffic rankings, skipping merrily past 2.2 million or so other sites to become the 3,871,822th most popular website out there. Just 3,871,821 more to go before we begin sinister “Phase Two.”
