Well the second, actually, if you count this one. At any rate, I now have an “About” page, which should give you an idea of why I’ve chosen to experience the joy and the misery of creating this blog.
In the unlikely event that you’re less Web-savvy than me, you may not know that there are two ways of going about this sort of thing - one is a user-friendly, out-of-the-box platform hosted on Google’s Blogger or a similar site, and the other is the more powerful but infinitely more complicated buy-your-own-domain-name option, which requires at least a basic, pathetic knowledge of web design. For better or for worse, I chose the second one. That rudimentary knowledge level seems like a pretty lofty goal for me at the moment, but with my 1000-page XML handbook, a super space-age coffeemaker to keep my eyes open and a lot of (misplaced?) resolve, I’m on my way. I’ve been meaning to learn a bit of web design for some time now, and hopefully the risk of public humiliation will be a strong enough incentive to get me studying.
Alright, next step: get rid of this WordPress template and make this site sexy!
